DISCOVER THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE LATHES
The DMG Mori CLX 350 and CMZ TA-25 machines are intended for the same type of part, they can be described as competitors. Nevertheless, analysis of their features shows there are technical differences.
The CMZ TA-25 is a slant bed CNC lathe with prismatic guides. In contrast, the DMG Mori CLX 350 is a CNC flat bed lathe with linear guides.
The X, Y, Z travels of the TA-25 are longer than in the DMG Mori CLX 350 and can therefore handle larger parts.
The TA-25 spindle is more powerful than the DMG Mori CLX 350 spindle in terms of power and torque ratings. It also has a higher milling capacity: the live tool drive produces 12,000 rpm and 11.3 kW compared to the 10,000 rpm and 5.5 kW of the DMG CLX 350.
With regard to automation, the CMZ TA-25 Gantry Loader has the capacity to handle parts weighing 20 kg, whereas in the DMG CLX 350, the Gantry loader is limited to parts weighing 6 kg.
