CMZ Haute Savoie (74)

Creation of a new technology centre for CMZ in Haute-Savoie

17/03/2025

CMZ has consolidated its presence in France after acquiring industrial premises in Haute-Savoie. After opening its subsidiary CMZ France 20 years ago in Isère, as part of its international expansion strategy, this move in department 74 will soon see the opening of a new technology centre. This new space will be used to provide direct technical support, delivery of parts and advice on applications for CNC lathes

Direct Technical Support Service and permanent showroom

In February, CMZ formalised the purchase of premises in the French department of Haute-Savoie. This new technology centre will have a team of after-sales technicians who will provide assistance in the area and sales engineers who will offer direct advice for all customers. It will also have parts in stock with fast delivery and an applications engineering service. The permanent showroom for customers will show the full range of CMZ products and host technical workshops demonstrating the capacities of the lathes.

This commitment is in response to the increased demand for machines in the Valley, characterised by its industrial tradition, especially in the precision turning sector. Haute-Savoie hosts fairs of reference like SIMODEC in which CMZ has already taken part, in 2024 and in previous editions. With this new facility, the company is strengthening its current presence offering direct advice for customers in Haute-Savoie and the surrounding areas.

A team always close to the customer

Benoit Branchu

Benoit Branchu, a professional with a long career in the industrial sector will be heading the project. Throughout his career he has held a variety of posts which have given him in-depth knowledge on the use and operation of lathes as well as a solid vision of the machining world. Branchu did not hesitate to take up the lead in this new adventure in which he is supported by a team of after-sales technicians which provides direct assistance.

Haute-Savoie is a strategic market for CMZ because the Arve Valley is recognised as the epicentre of precision turning in France and worldwide. The company has been operating in the area for 1 year and with this move is seeking to strengthen its presence with a strong, solid sales structure.
