8 INTEGRATED MOTORS

The TTL Series is part of CMZ's range ofÂturning centres for high volume production. With 8 integral built-in motorsÂ, this lathe is characterised by its high levels of precision and reliability. The designÂimproves the quality of surface finishes, and achieves faster acceleration, resulting inÂquicker cycle times.

FULLY OIL-COOLED DRIVEN TOOL TURRET

24-position hydraulically clamped turrets. In our TTL series ofÂturning centres, clamping is achieved with large diameter curvic coupling crowns which provide great stability and accuracy. The turret in this turning centre has two motors. The first is used to index the disc on the turret (indexes 30º in 150 ms). The second is an integrated motor that delivers 14 kW 42 Nm and 12000 rpm to the driven tools. The entire turret is oil-cooled to enable continuous working at 12,000 rpm.

SYNCHRONOUS SPINDLES

REDUCE ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION TIME BY HALF

Discover all the features of thisÂturning centre. These are some of the characteristics of the spindles on this high precision CNC lathe:

  • Equipped withÂsynchronous motors with high power and torque (35.5 kW and 205 Nm). They reduce acceleration and deceleration time by half (TTL-52 accelerates to 4,500 rpm in 1.3 seconds).
  • The rotor on the synchronous motor has permanent magnets. That means there is no passing current and the spindle axis remains cold.
  • Both theÂintegrated synchronous motor and the bearings are oil-cooled and provide excellent thermal stability.
  • TheÂbearingsÂassembled in the spindle are roller bearings and they provide shock robustness and high vibration damping.
