A CMZ Magazine that is #turningtheworld more than ever. This time, Javier Zumarraga, CMZ's international sales manager, opens issue number four of the magazine with an ode to the limitless expansion the company is experiencing. In the 2023 financial year, 80% of the lathes sold were destined for the international market, with a turnover of over €110 M and 550 machines delivered. These unprecedented figures make clear in which direction the company is heading, with a vision focused on consolidation as European manufacturers of CNC lathes throughout the world.
In addition, this new issue provides an in-depth look at our technical support service, a technical team with over 70 professionals who offer support internationally. With figures such as 3,600 in-factory interventions, 6,747 spare parts dispatched and a free hotline that handled around 15,000 calls last year, CMZ's technical support service deserved a (large) space in our corporate magazine.
The company is continuing to grow at dizzying speed and proof of that is the latest investment made in 2023. Within the first six months of the year, we formalised the purchase of 22,000m2 of land in Berriz (Vizcaya) where we will build our eighth manufacturing plant. The aim is clear: to reach production of 1,000 CNC lathes a year to satisfy high market demand and this has been a key action towards being able to achieve that figure. This fourth issue reveals all the details about the purchase of this new plot.
