DISCOVER THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE BAR TURNING LATHES
The Citizen Miyano BNJ 42 and CMZ TTS are lathes intended for the same type of part, they can be described as competitors. Nevertheless, analysis of their features shows there are technical differences.
CMZ TTS has two 12 position half indexing turrets and optional Y axis on both. In contrast, the Citizen Miyano BNJ 42 has one turret with 12 positions and a second turret with 8 positions with no X or Y axes.
CMZ TTS has no belts, all spindles, turrets and axis motors are directly coupled. The Citizen Miyano BNJ 42 has belts in the X and Y movements and does not have an integrated motor in the turret to activate the motorised tool.
The TTS has axis X3. This feature permits:
- The simultaneous use of 3 tools, each tool governed by a different program executing on a different channel.
- The inclusion of a counterbalance mounted on the sub-head.
- The X3 movement in the subhead significantly reduces interferences between the turrets because it moves the lower turret, thereby allowing the use of longer cutting tools.
